Baba Jenkins with Samica

November 10, 2022 7:00 pm PST

Main Stage

Doors Open: 6:30 pm

Since Guy, Rone, Ekko and Skooter first met on February 13, 2021 as what was to become the inception of Baba Jenkins, they recorded a full album at Sunset Sound, released four singles, and because of great supporters like Steve Ferrone of Tom Petty Radio on Sirius XM and Cliff Beach of 88.5FM KCSN, received airplay on three of those songs. The Baba Jenkins Official You Tube channel has also caught fire with 400,000 total views.

100% indie, 100% hard work and the momentum continues to build.

Debut album “COPPER’ is scheduled for release on October 7th, and the highly anticipated music video to the latest single “Wild” will drop on their You Tube channel in mid-August.

Follow Baba Jenkins on their socials, smash follow on Spotify and subscribe on their official You Tube channel to keep up!!

A first generation Indian-American, Samica grew up in the Bay Area surrounded by traditional Indian music at home. Heavily influenced by Top 40 and Urban radio of the 90s and early 2000s she began playing guitar and writing music at a young age. Realizing that none of her favorite artists shared the same cultural background and ethnicity, Samica became determined to change that. Her searing voice is a wonderful vessel through relatable heart felt lyrics. Samica’s sound bridges the gap of emotion in the female/male experience and cultures.

Samica began posting covers on YouTube, some of which were reposted by the original performers: Jesse Reyez, Marshmello, and Lizzo. Her first single, “Alright,” was released at the end of 2019 and has garnered over 1M streams. Her music has been featured by Earmilk, RnBass + THE FADER who premiered her video “Alright,” Earmilk. The video for her single “Wreck,” an anthemic ode to self-sabotage, received 400K+ views times in less than 2 weeks.
