BABERS, Sabol, Mashugana & Kat Hamilton
September 26 7:00 pm PDT
Doors Open: 6:30 pm$10
BABERS is a indie-rock band based in LA fronted by Dana Cargioli & Lisa Haagen. Touring as a 4 piece, they build from ambient riffs to percussive jams that add a visual element to their live show. Soft spoken lyrics open the songs like a conversation, but then build to reveal the furthest limits of their individual vocal ranges. Their live show unlocks the brighter side of their moody writing; they are simultaneously heavy & hopeful.
The pop alternative musings of SABOL are a straightforward and honest telling of life as a budding Los Angeles artist and full spirited individual. Led by powerful vocals and emotional vulnerability, SABOL paints an image of love and self discovery.
Mashugana is an indie soul band with a fun and unique style. Smooth, soothing singing that draws you in paired with jazz influenced rock style guitar that keeps you moving. Their music is fun and upbeat, bringing bright smiles and good vibes to every venue they play.
Kat Hamilton is a west-coast, singer, songwriter and performer. Hamilton has had the career trajectory of a chameleon; lending her talents to pop-punk, emo, r&b, hip-hop, pop, and country. In 2017, Hamilton ended her five year run as the front woman of popular east-coast pop punker’s, Manic Pixi. She reemerged with her own vulnerable approach to Indie Rock, with a touch of Americana. Drawing inspiration from classics like Bruce Springsteen and Fleetwood Mac, as well as contemporaries like City and Colour. In 2018, The multiple SXSW performer reemerged with her own vulnerable approach to indie-rock. Her standout single “Bees” was featured on Fox’s family dramedy, Almost Family (2019). Her debut album “Recovery Songs” was released in 2020 to critical acclaim. Most recently, you can hear Hamilton singing in a national Expedia commercial featuring Rashida Jones.
