BEL EP Release Show
September 16 7:00 pm PDT
Doors Open: 6:30 pm$12.00
Rarely does modern music earn the badge timeless, but Bel Whelan cuts through the noise. At the intersection of indie, pop, folk, and a dash of country, Bel takes cues from the likes of Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, and Mazzy Star.
In 2021, she rolled out her debut EP, Muscle Memory, “a personal story of first love, first heartbreak, existential crisis, and finding strength and confidence on my own.” Hailed for its breathtaking display of vocal control and intimate writing, the project was followed by stand-alone double-single, ‘mason jar / wanna be’.
In 2022, Bel rolled out four singles (including high-energy smash “PBR (with girlhouse)” and sad-girl anthem “Cake”), which culminated in the release of her sophomore EP, Jet Lag. The project’s collaborators include Boyish, girlhouse, Laiko, Jon Santana, Jack Laboz + more.
Throughout the rollout, Bel steadily built a core fanbase on socials while receiving support from Sirius XM (200+ organic plays), Pandora (2 playlist covers), Spotify, Apple, and several publications. She headlined the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn and supported dhruv and Isaac Dunbar, positioning herself on the precipice of the indie zeitgeist.
Bantug is an artist, producer, and songwriter based in Nashville, TN. She grew up jamming with her dad in the basement of their home in Lilburn, Georgia, which led to writing her own songs and performing at coffee shops in high school. After opening for artists such as Men I Trust, Halfnoise, and Hovvdy in 2018, Bantug built a loyal following. While fans fell in love with her carefree stage presence, they stuck around for the existential hooks. As the pandemic rolled through in 2020, Bantug hunkered down in her home studio. Producing new songs became a grounding exercise—a way of staying connected to other artists while continuing to evolve her own sound. She released her debut album, 12 Songs About Loneliness, in Spring 2021.
C.S. Fulp is a singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist exploring the sonic territory of early 2000s indie rock and the transitory nature of life — particularly at the crossroads of adolescence and adulthood. He is from Lindale, Texas and currently resides in Los Angeles.
