Elissa Mielke is a singer/songwriter from Dundas, a small town in Canada.

Her new EP Mouse (out now on slashie/ Mom+Pop) follows acclaim from Pitchfork who called her voice “oceanic.. an immense ocean of an instrument, as complex in its sweetness as raw honey” and Rolling Stone: “Mielke keeps her arrangements sparse, utilizing mostly piano and guitar… allowing her dominant instrument — that richly textured voice that can evoke love, heartbreak, and nostalgia — to take the spotlight.”

Elissa’s secular hymns are inspired by great storytellers like Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell, Lucinda Williams, and Carole King. Lush and powerful, with evocative vocals and skilled instrumentation, her piano ballads tell a nuanced story.

Hannah Connolly is a singer-songwriter originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, now living in Los Angeles. Her debut album From Where You Are was released in 2020, soon to be followed by her forthcoming record, Shadowboxing.

Connolly writes the kind of thoughtful, image-rich music that evokes a moment in time, capturing vivid snapshots, many from her own life, with such precision they feel — perhaps paradoxically — universal.
