Second Stage

Doors Open: 9:00 pm

Roaring onto the global music scene in a fiery blaze of raw rock glory, Kissflame are an emerging alternative female-led group from Seattle. Their style fuses dirty yet enhancing guitars to versatile vocals and infectious rock rhythms. College drop-out turned rockstar, lead singer Amanda Black is the figurehead for the band and started out in an indie group. After the band broke up she found herself stuck deep in the centre of the bible belt as an alternative queer woman. So she set sail to greener fields in the form of moving to a new city. Here she met Seattle musician “Aris Coover,” and they connected over a deep love for power jazz and Paramore. They became good friends, started writing songs together and the duo soon became Kissflame. They have now moved to LA to pursue their music career, linking up with bassist Jules. They have since released five singles and have played many iconic venues in LA such as Yamashiros, Canter’s Kibitz Room and The Hotel Cafe. The band have also been recently named #1 by Houston’s KRXM radio for their “Damn Dinah” music video.
