Roman Lewis is a London based punk poet, writing songs in both English and French. His debut release My First Failed Fairytale is an emotionally expansive double EP that channels both a deep sensitivity and a vibrant sense of youth, with Lewis penning all the songs between the ages of 14 and 17. In this we witness Roman Lewis’ journey first hand, from naivety to a first understanding of what it is to love. A diary, a coming of age story that unfolds in real time. Released just before lockdown, Roman was unable to tour the project and spent much of the pandemic writing and arranging alone in his room instead. The result is a debut album’s worth of songs, much of which he will share in the intimate form of just his voice and instrument with the audience of LA’s Hotel Cafe. Now 20, this will be his first performance since the release party a year and a half ago.
