Ruby Sparks is the Indie Rock project of Los Angeles by way of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania native, Jake Sternberg. For fans of Tame Impala’s ‘The Slow Rush’ & John Mayer’s ‘Sob Rock,’ the band’s debut LP pairs the lush harmonies of ’70s LA Radio Rock with fresh riffs, & textures of modern indie rock, alternative-folk, & synth-pop.
The band has headlined shows at The Hotel Cafe, Permanent Records Roadhouse, Silverlake Lounge, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, & El Cid, and has been featured by Buzzband.LA, Merry-Go-Round Magazine, Atwood Magazine, & Alchemical Records. The band’s California Honey EP received radio play on 42+ stations, including KCRW in LA, WNRN in Charlottesville, VA, WPCD in Champaign, IL, WAHS in Auburn Hills, MI, and more.
Their single, “California Honey,” was synced in Season 9 of MTV’s Are You The One?”

The brainchild of music executive and singer-songwriter Tasso Smith, Thom Sawyr is a project inspired by frustration with the status quo. After touring with bands like Panic! At the Disco, Walk the Moon, and P!nk, Tasso moved into A&R and creative management where he continued to hone his skills as a songwriter. He now presents Thom Sawyr as an illumination of the strife for a meaningful existence. In a time where music has fallen into the shallow depths of materialism and fame, the EP offers perspective on what music should truly represent.
Nightgames is 1) LA psych pop for dancers and weirdos, 2) on HBO, Netflix, KCRW, the BBC, and a bunch more, 3) Cody Page (always) and pals (sometimes), and 4) into sleep hygiene and lists.
