Russell Jamie Johnson & Friends
June 11 9:00 pm PDT
Doors Open: 8:30 pm
This project is about calling on the power and strength from my roots, where I come from, and where I’m headed. Like many of us, I deal with anxiety and depression, but I’m learning it is my strength, and not a weakness. I’m honored and humbled to share my learning experience and growth with other artists and humans, and only hope I can inspire those that may feel similarly to me to stand in their power and fall deeply in love with themselves and the world around them. To quote Mary Oliver, “tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”. Well, I plan to live each day like it’s my best and brightest, because at the end of the day, we are all precious to someone. I’m learning that the most important someone is myself.
Wolves of Glendale
Wolves of Glendale is a comedy band made up of Ethan Edenburg, Eric Jackowitz, and Tom McGovern. Listen, to be totally honest, they’re still kind of a young band (founded in early 2022), but as individuals they’ve performed on Conan, Just For Laughs, The Kennedy Center and more. So that’s actually pretty sick. Combining impressive musicianship with comedic lyrics, Wolves of Glendale have something for everyone… unless you’re someone who only enjoys the 2009 film Avatar and nothing else.
Russell Jamie Johnson
Russell Jamie Johnson is an American singer songwriter and actor based in New York City. Russell Johnson discovered his voice for the first time as a child. Soon after, Russell picked up the guitar quickly by watching his brother play. He grew up inspired by the songwriting of The Smiths and Bob Dylan. However, it was following the sudden death of his father in 2009 where Russell’s hobby transformed into a source of healing, freedom, and connection. His passion led him to Boston where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music in 2016. During his time there, he performed and worked with music industry luminaries Chuck Leavell, (Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones), John Oates of Hall & Oates, and jazz-pop singer-songwriter Jamie Cullum. Music aside, Since relocating to New York City, Russell met and collaborated with John Barrowman and pursued an acting career. Fearless and authentic, Russell’s music is a heartwarming blend of Folk and Americana.
