While her classmates were playing with Barbies, Los Angeles-based Bubble Rockstress Alexa Villa was playing on The Warped Tour. She has opened for acts including Alec Benjamin, Hinds, The Darkness, Ryan Cabrera and Night Club, to name a few, and has honed her craft as the sharp yet charismatic artist she is today.
With influences ranging from Miley Cyrus, Yungblud, 5SOS, Willow Smith, and Halsey to Led Zeppelin, Gwen Stefani, and Alanis Morissette, the singer/songwriter/classically- trained pianist and producer empowers the listener to embrace their madness and be authentically imperfect, loud and abrupt. She also expresses individuality through fashion and works with various brands to further create her own world.
March 18 marked the release of the album Good Girl. Says Villa, “It’s centered around empowerment to be who you are and create the world you want to live in. I wrote these songs about different phases of my life and the many perspectives one can have. Some songs like “All or Nothing” reflect the commanding woman in me and others like “Entertainer” reflect the uncertainty that comes with finding myself. I think the beauty of the ups and downs is knowing that you have the power within to decide for yourself what to do with them! I want the listener to know that it’s okay, no matter where you’re at, to have it all together one day and fall apart the next. And that it’s never crazy to be yourself even if others don’t understand you.”
Cimo Fränkel is an award winning artist, songwriter, and producer who has contributed to songs that have amassed over 2 billion streams. Songwriting and production credits include the multi-Platinum “Sex,” performed by Cheat Codes & Kris Kross Amsterdam, Hardwell & Snoop Dogg’s “How You Love Me collaboration, OMI’s “As Long As I’m With You”, and Lucas & Steve’s hit “Where Have You Gone”. Cimo’s signature voice has been courted by internationally acclaimed artists including Armin van Buuren, Daddy’s Groove, EDX, and TW3LVE, to which he’s been featured on popular records for labels like Ultra Music, Spinnin Records, Armada Records, and Universal Music. His debut album released in April 2020 was a collection of songs Cimo wrote, produced, and performed himself. Originally from Amsterdam, Cimo’s global appeal and cross-genre productions have had media and tastemakers comparing his artistry to the likes of The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and Tate McRae, with influences drawing from pop greats including Michael Jackson and Huey Lewis.
Skofee is an L.A.-based emerging artist whose breakout Polished EP received accolades from the LA Weekly, Altrpress, and EARMILK (among others). Her 2021 single ‘Spiderman (Post Pop Remix)’ was a most-requested song on KROQ Los Angeles and found support on a host of college and specialty radio shows across the U.S. Her new single, a duet with Cimo Fränkel called “Where Do You Hide Your Love”, is garnering airplay on KCRW.
