What The Sound Presents: Sachi Sato, Diamond White

July 24 7:00 pm PDT

Second Stage

Doors Open: 6:30pm

Sachi Sato
Sachi Sato is the latest project from New Yorker, Los Angeles based artist Sachi. The name Sachi Sato is a tribute to her birth name, Sachi, and her grandmother’s last name, Sato. Her songs are genuine stories of love, struggle, and much like her name, the journey back to her roots. Sachi draws energy from guitar driven alternative productions masterfully layered with R&B and Trap influenced beats. Her lyrics are introspective yet relatable. Sachi strives to be on the vanguard of alt pop with chilling vocals and melody. Her sound is hers but for everyone.

Diamond White
Diamond White weaves together periods of time with a multifaceted approach to creativity. Being born into Motown, Diamond was drawn to the music history of her hometown Detroit, Michigan. Growing up in a home where music was always playing Diamond could sing before she said her first word. At a young age she began writing poems to cope with hard times and tumultuous situations in her life. Those poems eventually turned into songs around the age of 15. At the age of 21 she released her first body of work, a tape titled Tomorrow. The lead single, Love Songs 4, soon surpassed over one million streams on Spotify and was highlighted across many streaming playlists. Diamond has also made a name for herself in the TV and film realm with acting roles in the hit TV shows Empire and The Bold and The Beautiful. Now she is uncovering another layer of her creativity through her writing and melodic alternative R&B sound. Diamond consistently gives her audience engaging visual insights letting fans into her private world through music videos. Her latest video release for Secondhand, a single from her debut tape, gives us a view into her harmonious world rooted in emotional challenges, and most importantly, her recurring battles with mental health. Diamond is currently gearing up for her first album titled, Summerland, which is expected in market Summer 2021.
