We’re talking working-at-CBGBs\, touring-with-Agnostic-Front punk. And that’s how it all started for The Lost Weekend. \nWhen the NYC hardcore scene began to get too violent for comfort\, Hardcore found himself thinking about his next move while falling in love with the outlaw country of Merle Haggard at Hogs And Heifers over a cold beer. After so many years in the punk scene\, the rebellious spirit and wayward tales of country and blues resonated deeply with the 20-something\, and made perfect sense. So he hightailed it to Los Angeles to DJ country music while writing original music on an old acoustic guitar\, and very soon The Lost Weekend was born. In fact\, they played their first show just a couple short weeks after forming\, which exemplifies the band’s tenacity and dedication. \nCollaborating with like-minded musicians who shared his passion and and recruited Parker Richey on guitar\, Joey Ponchetti on drums\, Eliot Lorango on bass (Corey Taylor\, Dorothy)\, and Carl Byron on piano (Hot Club of Los Angeles\, Sin City All Stars\, Jim Lauderdale)\, and The Lost Weekend emerged as a cohesive unit. Maxie writes for the invisible\, and sings for the underdog. \nBefore relocating to Los Angeles from her hometown of Philadelphia in 2024\, Maxie was featured in Main Line Today magazine’s “Next Gen: 15 Local Leaders Under the Age of 30” for her musical community service work. \nShe is the founder of Maxie’s Hot Chocolate House\, an annual Main Line teen concert event that benefits World Café Live Education. One of her songs written for Brandon’s Voice advocates for autism awareness. Lately\, she has been performing her originals to benefit local organizations with missions that resonate with her lyrics. Maxie was recognized as a top five Pop finalist in Philly’s PHL LIVE Center Stage Competition. Maxie was also named a semi-finalist in the 2020 International Songwriting Competition for her song “The Reckoning”. \nShe currently performs around Los Angeles and spends much of her time in the studio writing for Film and TV and other projects\, while working on her debut album to be released in late 2025.
