DESCRIPTION:Upon releasing their debut album House on Fire in 2019\, Hembree quickly started to make a name for themselves in the indie rock world. They toured extensively until hunkering down to make their sophomore record It’s a Dream!\, which was released in 2022. The record received high praise from tastemakers like Line Of Best Fit as an incredibly ambitious and creative album that pushed the band’s previous boundaries. \nOriginally from Kansas City\, the now Los Angeles based outfit doesn’t stray away from drawing influence from both homes. It’s a pairing that helps Hembree create their own eclectic version of rock and roll. Their unique sound is nostalgic and modern all at once and it has landed them on festival stages all over the country and bills with indie rock legends\, Phoenix to rock n’ roll icon\, Elvis Costello. \nLead singer\, Isaac Flynn\, describes their latest album “Better Days” as the record Hembree fell in love with being a band again. DESCRIPTION:Melissa Polinar first embarked on her journey when the industry was evolving into something new with the digital age. Many of her first steps forward as a singer-songwriter were in large part thanks to YouTube at its beginning. She bubbled to the top of the website’s music category with a collection of original songs\, which instantly set her apart from most other curators who are more known for covers of pop music. Self-penned songs like “Try” and “Meant to Be” solidified her presence on YouTube not just as a singer\, but an authentic songwriter known for her artistic poise and lyrical sincerity. \nIt was during the formidable years between her YouTube videos and her extensive songwriting experience at a young age in Nashville when she began to fit into her shoes evolving to the artist that she is today. As the old industry further gave way to the social media era\, she was able to reach more of an audience with her work than had arguably ever been available for Asian-American artists before. Polinar put a face and a voice to rising artists worldwide from the early stages of her career onward – thanks to her Internet presence and grassroots approach. In March of 2017\, these events culminated into a spotlight for Polinar at SXSW (South by Southwest) in its first official Asian-American showcase put on by the LA-based nonprofit Kollaboration. \nThroughout her career\, Polinar has gained the respect and recognition of several recognizable artists for her unique soulful vocals\, heart-bearing lyrical content\, and passionate musicianship. These include many other respected singer-songwriters like Jeremy Passion\, Ernie Halter\, Tony Lucca\, and Matt Cusson. Each of one of them collaborated and were featured on 2014’s Calls & Echoes. Polinar’s first full-length album\, it was produced by David Ryan Harris\, Jesse Barrera\, and Josiah Bell. \nShe has also been praised by Grammy Award winners like Questlove (The Roots)\, Mark Kibble (Take 6)\, and India.Arie\, the last of which was also a collaborator on Polinar’s latest project\, Rise At Eventide. As creator of the Monday Monday music series\, he has been a key figure in curating and cultivating the songwriter scene at the Hotel Cafe for the past 2 decades. His reputation as an audio engineer has put him out on the road touring with artists such as Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real\, The Record Company\, Haley Reinhart and Brittany Howard to name a few. Now\, finally getting back to his roots as a songwriter\, he’s begun releasing tracks from the upcoming album\, Red White Black and Blue. These songs are full of soul and grit\, taking inspiration from personal experience and social commentary about the state of the world today. DESCRIPTION:Northwoods is a solo project by Drummer\, MD\, songwriter and producer Adam Hanson. Adam has been in LA for more than a decade playing and working with so many wonderful people and artists. The Hotel Cafe has been a mainstay for him and so much of the scene Adam came up in. The Hotel Cafe had literally set the stage for meeting so many wonderful people he’d get to play much bigger stages with throughout the world. But\, always coming back to home base. The Hotel Cafe is the place he still goes to this day to see the amazing new and seasoned talent in the city. Also\, along with it being the place he’s probably played the most in his 17 year run here in LA. His solo project Northwoods will bring together some of his best friends and players in the city for this one off special show. Northwooods doesn’t play live too much\, so don’t miss it. It will be a special moment in time that will most likely never happen again. \nAdam Hanson is a multi-instrumentalist\, songwriter and producer/engineer from Mattapoisett\, Massachusetts. Adam graduated from Berklee College of Music and has since spent his professional years based out of Los Angeles. Since working in LA he’s spent as much time in the studio as the stage. Some of the artists Adam has worked and toured with include JP Saxe\, Melissa Polinar\, John Mayer\, Lewis Capaldi\, Alicia Keys\, Ben Rector\, Ariana Grande\, LMFAO\, Coldplay\, Anthony Ramos\, Scary Spice\, Julia Michaels\, Lennon Stella\, J Balvin\, Shawn Mendes\, Kevin Garrett\, Badsnacks among some others. Also\, he helped work on the hit broadway musical\, Hamilton in its infancy. \nAdam has built his career off of being a musician\, however also ready for a challenge no matter what the call might be. He’s been everything from a drummer\, tour manager\, stage tech\, multipurpose engineer\, producer\, songwriter\, guitarist\, bassist\, pianist\, singer\, production assistant\, assistant engineer\, and now an artist. Northwoods is Adam’s solo project producing and releasing its first record “This Never Happened” back in 2022 and is currently working on a second. He’s been able tour nationally and internationally along with appearing on acclaimed shows such as The Today Show\, Stephen Colbert\, The Juno Awards\, Ellen\, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and more.
