Mexico City Heartbreak is an East Los Angeles, CA based indie rock band. The project formed in 2020 and released it’s debut single the same year, catching the attention of BuzzMusic magazine and earning a feature for the track ‘Bad Dreams,’ described as a “vivacious and spirited track about the frustrations of trying to forget someone who won’t leave your head.” They have since released numerous singles in both English and Spanish – a nod to their singers Mexican-American heritage and upbringing. In 2023, the band released their first EP, a five-track compilation titled “Atmosférica,” named after its standout title track. The band is currently on tour promoting their latest single “Manejando” with no signs of slowing down.

Johnny Cisneros, a Los Angeles-based Latin Indie artist, is quickly becoming a notable figure in the underground post-punk music scene flourishing in LA. Renowned for his unique blend of heartache-filled melodies, introspective lyrics, and distinct musical style, Johnny has carved out a singular niche in the indie rock genre.

Drawing deeply from his multicultural heritage and the vibrant energy of Southern California, Johnny’s music effortlessly weaves together elements of indie pop and indie rock. His longing voice, carrying both power and vulnerability, allows him to sing in both Spanish and English, and often in a fusion he calls “Spanglish Indie.”

Johnny’s raw storytelling comes alive in his captivating and heartfelt live performances. His songs explore themes of love, heartbreak, identity, and personal growth, resonating deeply with listeners who appreciate introspective and thought-provoking music. As Johnny continues to evolve and push the boundaries of his art, he remains a powerful voice in the indie music world, capturing the hearts of audiences across cultural and linguistic divides.

Kelly Abarca is an independent musician based in Los Angeles who explores the sounds of indie rock mixed with psychedelic pop and the tropical features of her hometown: Lechería, Venezuela.

Her recent releases explore a world of happy melancholy, upbeat and bright rhythms, beachy summer vibes and dreamy landscapes, accompanied by lyrics from a deeply personal perspective. Her latin folk roots can be heard in her first EP “Playa Muerta” 2016. This personal EP with its simple production has served as the basis for the evolution of her sound.

In 2019, she traded her acoustic for an electric guitar and explored a more indie pop sound with songs like “Beso en la Disco,” “Mar y Sal,” and “No lo Pienses Más.” . Her song “Es un Secreto” received nationwide coverage on Venezuelan airways.

Since moving to LA in 2021, she has formed a new band that has quickly gained a growing local following.

Friends Don’t Die was started during quarantine with me, George, and my friend Daniel. We wrote and recorded the first two singles “She’s a Headrush” and “Backwards” Now Daniel is working full time in Nashville so Friends Don’t Die has become just me and a collective of my musician friends. We have a ton of and I’m excited for all the new music and venues coming soon.
