With every release, AM GOLDN continues to develop her sound and morph into an incomparable artist that is in her own lane. She’s a mix of sounds and melodies that stuck with her growing up; from going with her grandma to the church choir as a kid, to spending hours watching American music television as soon as getting home from middle school and summer vacations with her cousins in Brooklyn. Dominican born and raised, Alba Marina Cordero would start making covers from other artists and playing with friends at local coffee shops and bars from the age of 16. Her debut single named ‘Part Of Me’, released in 2021, involves R&B with an Alternative sound and a jazzy voice in ‘Spanglish’. Her second single, ‘Honestly’, released in the same year, and this time with a dance-funk but still R&B style, catches the attention of music critics in Latin America, as well as known artists like Vince Staples. Still discovering her path along the way, and based today in Los Angeles, AM Goldn is also a reflection of the many artists that grew up influenced by American music in the early 2000s, but still willing to put more of her own style, culture and language, at the same time experimenting with different genres and sounds.
