Dawson Hollow is an American Indie-Folk-Rock band formed in 2016 by 5 siblings who have been touring, writing and making music together since 2001. Dawson Hollow’s unique brand of entertainment fuses the cinematic colors of pop, nostalgic string elements of Americana and iconic 5-part blood harmonies. Based out of the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, Dawson Hollow’s high energy performances offer supporting lyrics that carry a hopeful undertone. Now adding their voice to “The Chosen’s” 2021 Christmas special, Dawson Hollow has performed over 3,000 shows collectively and have amassed millions of streams on Spotify. Scott Oatley, known professionally as VÂN SCOTT, began his career in the background of some of Hollywood’s biggest film and TV projects. Once a demo singer for Maroon 5, a backup vocalist for John Legend (The Voice) and Cynthia Erivo (The Oscars), a featured performer on TV shows like Black-ish and The Simpsons, and blockbuster soundtracks like High School Musical 3 and La La Land, he has worked with and gleaned from the very best talent in the music world. Mentored by two Grammy-winning superproducers, Mike Elizondo and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Scott is now putting his songwriting and artistry front and center with a pure, strong, and colorful voice, reminiscent of such range-defying singers as Nate Ruess (fun.), Cody Fry, and Freddie Mercury. Last July, he released his sophomore LP Songs I Never Wrote (because they would’ve been about you)which epitomizes his “hopeful yet melancholic songwriting” (Earmilk).
