New New Girlfriend is a Los Angeles based alt / pop rock band formed in 2017 by SoCal native Kylen Deporter and east coast transplant Griffin Burns. The duo “met cute” while on a double date with two girls named Alexa. The Alexa’s didn’t last but the musical bromance burns bright. Their music is rich in vocal harmony, lyrically focused, and upbeat yet melancholy. Sonically, they’ve been compared to Jimmy Eat World, Weezer, and Owl City – ‘EZ Jim City’ if you will.
