The band’s debut album, “Copper”, garnered significant attention, earning a spot on Spotify’s coveted Modern Blues Rock playlist. Their music also found a home on influential platforms like SiriusXM Tom Petty Radio and Southern California’s KCSN, as well as nationally, solidifying their status as a rising force in the music scene. Currently working with 11x Grammy producer Joe Chiccarrelli (U2, White Stripes, Beck, Alanis Morrisette, The Strokes, Morrissey) on their second independent album, the band’s momentum is in ultra-high gear.  

Firm believers and practitioners in helping those in need, Baba Jenkins works closely with Sharing Love With Others, a local charitable organization that feeds 400+ people living on Los Angeles’ Skid Row every weekend. The band has donated thousands of dollars in their own ticket & merch sales to this cause, with the ultimate goal of doing this on a global scale.

Chuck Rocha and That Summer mixes elements of singer/songwriter and pop/rock musings with alternative and punk rock ethos. Chuck Rocha and That Summer released A Place Called Home EP, in March 2023 and Turmoil LP in September 2023, both on Ring Records.

Most recently, Chuck Rocha and That Summer celebrated its first major radio airplay, when Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Eric Clapton, George Harrison) added their singles “All Over The World”, “Black Jack Grin” and “The Middle of Now” to his playlist on SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio. Matt Pinfield (MTV’s 120 Minutes) has also featured “Say” and “Dangerous Backgrounds” on his weekly show “New And Approved” on KLOS 95.5 FM Los Angeles. 88.5 FM The SoCal Sound, one of the highest rated Triple A format radio stations in the United States, has placed Chuck Rocha and That Summer in regular rotation.

Chuck Rocha and That Summer has played all over the United States, and has just completed the first European tour with shows in London, Prague and Dublin. Another European tour is planned for September 2025 as well as on air performances with select college radio stations along the west coast coming soon.
