Her songs range from intimate haunting folk songs, to upbeat festival/”dance your pants off” anthems. She has music placed on Hulu, Netflix, The CW, Freeform + commercials and TV shows all over the US and UK. Her music video Quiet on Sunset was recently featured on CMT, and she has scored the music for 4 documentaries including award winning Lady Buds. Posner was one of the lead roles in the Bank Of America ad campaign for Ken Burns Country Music Documentary playing banjo and singing Wagon Wheel, alongside Dom Flemons and Amythyst Kiah. She played the famous Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in the fall of 2024, as well as receiving Official Showcases at Americana Fest 2023, and Folk Alliance International 2022 and 2024.
Posner is the grand prize winner of the USA Songwriting Competition for her song ‘Get Loud’ co-written with Ships Have Sailed. The song has charted on pop radio, and it recently became the official hype song for the LA Kings Hockey team.
Posner is also the winner of the Topanga Fiddle Festival’s Best Song award for her song ‘Blind spots’ in 2020. She signed to Blackbird Record Label in the fall of 2022, and continues to tour all over the US with her newest album Second Chances.
Melding compelling progressive indie rock with the heart of a singer/songwriter, San Francisco based Meli Levi creates an intimate connection that resonates with listeners long after the final note. Her style has been likened to artists such as Adrienne Lenker (Big Thief), Radiohead, Liz Phair and Hozier. Her song “Echo in a Valley” placed in the Semi-Finals of the 2024 Unsigned Only Songwriting Contest. Two of her songs, “Echo in a Valley” and “All Things May Be”, recently placed in the Semi-Finals of the 2024 International Songwriting Competition. Meli has warmed the stage for artists such as Brandi Carlile, Amy Ray (Indigo Girls) and the Monophonics. Festival highlights include SXSW, Juan de Fuca, Northwest Folklife and Pride Festival performances in San Francisco, Milwaukee, Portland and Seattle. She is currently in the studio working on a new full length album with producer Jeffrey Wood (Penelope Houston, The Housemartins).
