November 12, 2021 10:00 pm PST

Main Stage

Doors Open: 9:30 pm

Abby Posner has been a working musician in Los Angeles for the past 17 years. She is best known for her ability to play nearly any instrument that she can get her hands on, twisting genres, and pushing the boundaries of folk, roots, and pop, self-identifying as “Genre Fluid.” A true multi-instrumentalist, Posner can play a lead-blues guitar solo, or throw down a complex Earl Scruggs banjo riff. At one of her many performances playing solo, or with her band, Abby & The Myth, you may have seen her playing drums, mandolin, or bass while using her looping pedal. In addition to her versatility, she puts passion and soul into everything she does. Posner produced and played all the instruments on her upcoming album, Kisbee Ring.

This CalArts graduate has composed music for commercials/TV, films, and radio shows all over the globe, including Old Fashioned, The Fosters, This American Life, The Art of More, and Last Tango in Halifax. She also has had music placed in commercials and TV shows throughout China, Sweden, The UK, and Australia.

Posner appeared in Fox’s GLEE and Freeform’s FAMOUS IN LOVE playing guitar and banjo and has performed live on KCAL 9 News and Good Day LA. She’s scored the music for four films, most recently the feature documentary LADY BUDS, which premiered at OUTFEST in 2021.

Posner played banjo and sang “Wagon Wheel” in a featured principal role in Bank of America’s ad campaign for the Ken Burns PBS documentary COUNTRY MUSIC. In 2020, she won the Carl Gage Songwriting Award through the Topanga Folk Festival for her original song “Blind Spots.”

Abby Posner has opened for acts such as PHRANC, Sierra Hull, Michael Daves, Dave Alvin, Amythyst Kiah, and Dustbowl Revival. She has several US tours under her belt, and she recently landed a Showcase spot for the Southwest Regiona Folk Allience Festival in September 2021.
