FREEJay Alan
Hailing from the Midwest, Alan is a 24-year-old queer pop songwriter and artist who sings sour words in a sweet way. After graduating from Berklee College of Music and moving to LA last year, he’s largely spent his time writing for other artists. Now, following a two-year hiatus after releasing his debut EP, Play Pretend, Alan is excited to return to his own artist project, with his sophomore EP set to release early 2025.
NYAH
Just a local cryptid who sings silly little songs, singer songwriter and inRage Entertainment recording artist NYAH just released her indie alt-rock EP Goodbye, Adolescence. The project serves as a “time capsule” of her teenage years, blending angsty lyrics with raw and emotive sounds. The EP captures themes of youthful struggles and transitions, making it relatable for listeners navigating similar life stages. The project features a live band with songs that reflect on love, loss, and confusion, with influences from post punk, pop punk, rock, and riot grrrl. NYAH captivates audiences both with the full energy of her band and the intimate, stripped-down vibe of her solo acoustic performances.
Ethan Buckner
There was that time he was detained by the Egyptian military, accused of being an American spy. Or the time he repelled off a massive highway bridge protesting big oil. Or the time he chained himself to the Oakland police department headquarters after yet another unarmed Black man was murdered by cops. Harrowing true story after story, LA indie folk/pop troubadour and activist Ethan Buckner has seen it all. Through trauma and triumph, anxiety and hope, Ethan has always turned to songwriting to try and find calm in the chaos. His debut LP Treading Water, produced by grammy-nominee Justin Glasco (Paris Paloma, Lone Bellow), weaves between moments both intimate and anthemic, exploring struggles that are both deeply personal and unavoidably collective. Ethan is fresh off a whirlwind year of touring and releases that culminated in his debut headline performance at the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles in September and at San Francisco’s Brick & Mortar Music Hall in October
