Darnell Cole ( & The Vibe ) is more than just an artist or band, but instead is a groovy ensemble, that crafts music you don’t just listen too, but experience.

Centering around frontman Darnell Cole, and comprising of core members, Jit Chatterjee on Drums and Elliott Lawrence on Bass, this ( primarily ) power trio, was born in the blues and, raised in rock and roll! Their soulful music, often borrowing from other genres like funk, Rnb, Jazz, Metal, and even Bollyood, will take you on an emotional and spiritual journey, and at the same having you shake your money maker late into the night.

Wowing stages big and small, often leaving a trail of melted faces and uplifted spirits, Frontman Darnell Cole with powerful riffs in hand, and his merry band dubbed, “The Vibe” are on a mission to spread the gospel of rock, soul, and positivity!

Buddha Jones and the Man’s music is a unique blend of afro-psychedelic, blues and funk-driven elements. The band originally formed in Los Angeles in 2013 by Tito Acevedo (guitar, vox) and later joined by Ed Moreno (keys), Rudy Gonzales (percussion), Jesse Solorio (bass), Pat Diederichs (baritone sax), Arturo Ramirez (tenor sax) and Manu Gomez (drums). With Andre Bodine and Darnell Cole joining in on guitar, intermittently.

The band then released their first self-produced album, ‘The Poor Man’s Vamp,’ in 2022.

They wasted no time starting work on their next album, ‘The Word,’ which was released on streaming platforms in June of 2023.

Their latest effort, “Ofrendas”, recorded in December of 2023, introduces ingredients of salsa, jazz, afrobeat, cumbia, and various indigenous music inspired by the band’s cultural background. The album was released in May of 2024.
