Ellen Winter and Octobr

September 6 7:00 pm PDT

Second Stage

Doors Open: 6:30

$20

ELLEN WINTER (any pronouns will do šŸ˜‰) is a music producer, performer, and queer-joy menace whose songwriting fuses theatrical storytelling with dreamy synths and a singular voice. Her hit song ā€œMantrasā€ off her debut record Every Feeling Iā€™ve Ever Felt, rocked the #1 slot on In-Store Radio Charts for the better part of 2022 and last year, her cover of “Paper Roses” was featured in the emmy-nominated Hulu show, Tiny Beautiful Things, starring Kathryn Hahn. In 2017, She co-composed/wrote/directed 36 Questions, the worldā€™s first broadway-calibur musical podcast starring Jonathan Groff (Merrily We Roll Along) and Jessie Shelton (Hadestown). Her work’s been featured in the New York Times, The Guardian, Marie Claire, Interview Magazine, MTV news, and Playbill. Ellen is a recipient of the 2021 Bryan Gallace/Posthumous Prodigy Productions Musicians Fellowship and she’s had residencies with Joeā€™s Pub, Berkeley Rep, Mercury Store, Ars Nova, SPACE on Ryder Farm, Rhinebeck Writers Retreat and BarnArts. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her collection of iridescent objects and her dog, Ruby.

Introducing Octobr, a rising solo artist whose music is both a journey and a destination. Born in October, their name reflects the season of changeā€”a fitting metaphor for their introspective and transformative sound. Octobr first captivated audiences with a sold-out performance at The Grove, opening for British pop sensation Pixie Lott, a venue that has seen the likes of Ed Sheeran and other music legends.

For Octobr, music is a lifelineā€”a way to heal, connect, and inspire. With roots in songwriting from the age of 8 and a passion for producing that began at 18, Octobr brings a wealth of experience and emotion to the stage. Often compared to iconic artists like Sade and Solange, Octobr crafts music for those who feel deeply, think profoundly, and hope endlessly. Their work is a celebration of self-knowledge as a pathway to understanding others, and their ultimate goal is to help people feel more and move more.

A ticket to one show is access to the other! Don’t miss OCTOBR at 7p, and stay for Ellen at 8p!
