itsjustrand is the artist project of Rand (not Randy, just Rand) Walter, a songwriter, producer, and working musician from Nashville, TN. Approaching a decade now, the artist – and the project – have weathered multiple existential crises. This comes through in the songs, particularly in debut LP, Space Age, released in 2022. 2023 and 2024 brought the Seasonal Menu release cycle, a collection of songs examining love, grief, death, regret, and growing up. Oh, and drinkin’ and dancin’. We all contain multitudes, after all.

After working at a private LA recording studio, Ted Moock moved into an apartment on a street named Van Buren and started writing songs for his own project. “Van Buren” is a Dutch name that translates to “from the neighbor,” and that’s what his music feels like. Songs that make you feel known. Songs that feel like home. Songs from the guy next door. With soaring melodies and piano-driven production, Van Buren crafts an indie pop sound with compelling lyrical depth. The GOLDRUSH EP, his latest, released in March 2024, and he will continue releasing singles through the rest of this year.
