Jason D. Harris, the founder of Mind Of The Noise Records, is a multi-talented music producer, songwriter, American rapper, and educator located in Los Angeles.
Born and raised in St. Louis, he creates a soul- filled southern and live-instrumentation style hip-hop mixed with electronic melodies to create a unique style of R&B, Pop, Hip-hop, and Neo-Soul. His music creates a vibrant and visual narrative, taking you on a journey documenting his personal experiences as a black man in America. His latest album, “American Detox Vol. 1” and single, “The Mind Of The Noise is distributed by Virgin Music Group.
Not only is he talented on the mic, but he’s had a successful playback engineering career working for artists such as Ledisi, Kid Cudi and Why Don’t We on major stages worldwide. His engineering work has been featured on live-shows and T.V. programs such as Nickelodeon, Kelly & Ryan show, Ellen, and Jimmy Kimmel during his time with Why Don’t We. He’s also been featured on Fox 2 Now with Tim Ezell, and interview by NBC with Rene Knott as a recording rap artist and educator, giving back to the youth through music.
Jason is an alumnus of Mills College and Kansas City Art Institute where he studied music engineering and film making. He is dedicated to educating the youth on electronic music and the music business. Jason is currently partnering with Coke Studios for The Boys & Girls Club, The Village Nation, BSAP and LAUSD to give back to the youth through his music program, ‘Beat School With Mr.J.’
