LA native songwriter Joel Zighel returns from NYC to preview new songs and perform favorites from his 2017 debut “Down on Jones Street,” and 2023 follow-up “Vintner’s Blues.” Drawing from his years selling wine and merriment out of a downtown cellar, Joel crafts tales of life, love and the hum of the city. Dubbed a “classic lower east side troubador” by music writer Adam Bernard, Zighel has carved out a hush in intimate rooms across NYC such as The Bitter End, KGB Bar, Pianos and more. Working with industry veteran Craig Dreyer at Mighty Toad Studios in Brooklyn, his studio work echoes influences such as Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs and Randy Newman. He has licensed his music for film and tv, including for Apple TV+ show The Afterparty. On this evening, Zighel will be supported by a full band to preview songs from a new album in production, currently entitled “Suitcase Years.”
