Jorge Cajías is a painter of sound, a draftsman of lyrics, a sculptor of ideas. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, and a graduate of Berklee College of Music, he has spent much of his conscious life seeking to steal the beauty of everyday life, condense it, and filter it into the confines of his lyrics and songs, with the utopian goal of once and for all defining human feeling.
His first single, Qué Dulce, featured the exquisite voice of his friend, and brilliant Latin Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Claudia Prieto. After a series of ebullient singles, Jorge released his debut album: AL OJO%. It contemplated Jorge’s life through his eyes; from the most intense point of his entrails.
His second album, “Vuelta Al Día En 80 Mundos” presented new collaborations with the likes of virtuoso singer, Jassiel Colmenares. In this second collection of songs, based on experiences from his life and filtered through his unique way of taming the word, Jorge manages to synthesize what it is to be human, his turbulences and his epiphanies, and his own account of the universe.
His upcoming album was made in collaboration with Grammy-winning engineer and producer Vago Galindo and features some of Jorge’s greatest songs, along with Vago’s extraordinary sonic architecture. As his song, Cafeína, says: this day does not end, that is, this story is just beginning, and in that same way, Jorge will continue to share music from his project with the world in the coming months and years, in the hopes that his frequencies can find the eardrums of those who need them.
