Northwoods is a solo project by Drummer, MD, songwriter and producer Adam Hanson. Adam has been in LA for more than a decade playing and working with so many wonderful people and artists. The Hotel Cafe has been a mainstay for him and so much of the scene Adam came up in. The Hotel Cafe had literally set the stage for meeting so many wonderful people he’d get to play much bigger stages with throughout the world. But, always coming back to home base. The Hotel Cafe is the place he still goes to this day to see the amazing new and seasoned talent in the city. Also, along with it being the place he’s probably played the most in his 17 year run here in LA. His solo project Northwoods will bring together some of his best friends and players in the city for this one off special show. Northwooods doesn’t play live too much, so don’t miss it. It will be a special moment in time that will most likely never happen again.
Adam Hanson is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer/engineer from Mattapoisett, Massachusetts. Adam graduated from Berklee College of Music and has since spent his professional years based out of Los Angeles. Since working in LA he’s spent as much time in the studio as the stage. Some of the artists Adam has worked and toured with include JP Saxe, Melissa Polinar, John Mayer, Lewis Capaldi, Alicia Keys, Ben Rector, Ariana Grande, LMFAO, Coldplay, Anthony Ramos, Scary Spice, Julia Michaels, Lennon Stella, J Balvin, Shawn Mendes, Kevin Garrett, Badsnacks among some others. Also, he helped work on the hit broadway musical, Hamilton in its infancy.
Adam has built his career off of being a musician, however also ready for a challenge no matter what the call might be. He’s been everything from a drummer, tour manager, stage tech, multipurpose engineer, producer, songwriter, guitarist, bassist, pianist, singer, production assistant, assistant engineer, and now an artist. Northwoods is Adam’s solo project producing and releasing its first record “This Never Happened” back in 2022 and is currently working on a second. He’s been able tour nationally and internationally along with appearing on acclaimed shows such as The Today Show, Stephen Colbert, The Juno Awards, Ellen, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and more.
