Pi Jacobs draws inspiration from her unconventional upbringing in “The land of weed and wine”, also known as Northern California. She is signed to LA’s Blackbird Record Label, and her new album, “Soldier On”, produced by Eric Corne (John Mayall,), features Pi’s long-time collaborators Buch Norton (Lucinda Williams,Tracy Chapman) and Zack and Adam Hall (Billy Ray Cyrus).
The album was in the top 100 of the Americana Music Association Chart for over 4 four months upon its release.

Live, Pi’s style blends roots-rock swagger and storytelling soul, that has drawn comparisons to Tom Waits, Dolly Parton, and Lucinda Williams. Armed with an old Gibson guitar, her “sultry” (Claremont Courier) and an “explosive” (Glide) voice, She creates a show that is a “mesmerizing” (Americana Highways). In the words of San Luis Obispo’s New Times, “Jacobs’ can be funny, poignant, and irreverent, but always personal. She might not heal you, but you’ll forget your problems for a few hours” .

Pi’s music has been heard on NPR, DittyTV, Austin Music TV, Americana Highways, American Songwriter Magazine, and regularly on radio tastemakers KCSN (LA) WMOT (Nashville) and WFUV (NYC), and stations across the globe.

PETTY CHAVEZ is Simon Petty (Minibar) and Celia Chavez (Babilonia), debuting their new EP Radial Blur at Hotel Café. Forged in the eye of a turbulent year, the four songs were recorded in the sudden calm creativity can bring when everything else spins out. As Los Angeles burned and divisions deepened, they turned to music and to each other for grounding. 2025 was the year they married—the year they learned that whatever raged outside, making music still felt like home. Working with producer Greg Johnson in their Santa Monica studio, Petty Chavez shaped sound into shelter and finished Radial Blur as an act of defiant joy.
