Barry Blinderman has spent more than five decades shaping the arts as a musician, gallery director, museum curator, essayist, educator, and recording artist. Inspired to pick up the guitar at age 12 after seeing The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, he released his first single, “Strange Haze,” in 1969, earning local radio success in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. After an accomplished career in New York’s visual arts world, Blinderman returned to songwriting with renewed focus following his move to Los Angeles in 2019. His music blends folk, rock, and poetic storytelling with sharp reflections on contemporary culture, politics, and the human experience. With performances at respected venues across the United States, Barry continues to captivate audiences through songs that are both thought-provoking and deeply personal.
