$15Sweet “Eddy” Undertow, as he is called, could be The Most Interesting Man In Music. We would assume that he’d bristle at the idea being, if not humble, then properly reserved, but the truth is in the story and, to a large extent, in the songs contained in —–Sweet Undertow’s sophomore album set for release in Spring 2026.
Already dropped at the tail end of 2025 is the upbeat and insistent ramble of “Country Blues,” a song that sounds like its title, and finds Eddy lamenting about having to “go back to the city.” Movement and restlessness is a concept that weaves through the artist’s narrative aplenty. As a kid growing up in the Chicago suburbs, the dye was cast early with exposure to said city’s punk rock scene balanced with his dad’s vintage blues collection, growing familiar with classic riffing on a stolen guitar: Muddy Waters and The Jesus Lizard, Holwin’ Wolf and Naked Raygun. You get the picture. He couldn’t have left sooner.

Judd Warrick’s Brokenland has already made waves, being named a “New Country and Americana Album” by American Songwriter magazine. It is the result of a collaboration with producer Scott Wiley, best known for his work with artists like Imagine Dragons and The Killers. The record is full of stories of trials, tribulations, and triumphs; deep emotions, and intricate instrumentation taking the listener us a journey down a road of poignant memories, revealing the struggle of love lost and freedom found. He is currently back in the studio working on a 2026 release and playing select acoustic shows across the country. If you’re lucky enough to find he is coming to your town, do not hesitate to buy a ticket.
