The Spotlight Sessions Presents: Kirsten Izer, Haley Fishberger & Alec Jordan

October 8 7:00 pm PDT

Second Stage

Doors Open: 6:30

$10

Kirsten Izer has been writing songs since she was 11-years-old. While growing up in New Jersey, her father taught her the chords to Pink Floyd’s “Vera”, the same chords she used to teach herself a Taylor Swift song. Since then, her inspiration has expanded to the likes of Kate Bush, St. Vincent, Caroline Polachek and more; it is still that same juxtaposition that shows up in her work today—an equal amount of affection for an instrumental break, but also a well-told story. Staying true to her roots, you can expect to hear a lot of guitar in Izer’s music, as well as plenty of warped, distorted synthesizers and bass. No matter what vehicle she’s using to communicate, it is ultimately her storytelling and stacked, fragile falsetto that refuse to go unnoticed. After living in New York for 5 years, the singer/songwriter/producer is now based in Los Angeles where she is currently working on an EP to come in 2025.
