Whiskey Wolves of the West

Leroy Powell is a multi-platinum record producer and songwriter. He is also a first call Nashville session musician appearing on records by Waylon Jennings, Reba McIntire, Jamey Johnson, Travis Tritt, Sturgill Simpson, Whiskey Myers, Wheeler Walker Jr., Midland, Shooter Jennings, Cody Jinks, Chris Isaak, Barry Gibb, Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, and the Oak Ridge Boys.

Since 2016 Leroy and partner, Tim Jones, have released a tome of songs for Whiskey Wolves of the West to world wide acclaim.

Tim Jones is a powerhouse vocalist and “Chauffeur of Soul” who has contributed to over a hundred published recordings including collaborations with Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket, the Hotel Cafe Tour, and co-produced his projects Truth & Salvage Co. and Whiskey Wolves of the West, as well as written songs for Shelly Fairchild, Jaime McLean, Tony Lucca, Szlachetka, Erin Viancourt, Emily West and Nicki Bluhm. He has also led songwriting workshops with Art of Elysium, Country Music Hall of Fame, Alive Hospice, Kilpatrick, Townsend & Stockton, CreatiVets and is adjunct faculty at Interlochen Center for the Arts Singer Songwriter program. He’s also hosted and performed at events for multinational brands like Porsche, Carharrt, The Gap, Ford, Hospital Corporation of America, Yeti, and Asurion.

Jones’ project Whiskey Wolves of the West(Leroy Powell & Tim Jones) performed their debut show at Stagecoach Music Fest in April of 2016 to critical acclaim from the LA Times. Their first release Country Roots was heralded by Rolling Stone as one of the Top Ten Country Eps of 2018 and the Wolves were named Best Backing Band by Rolling Stone Country at AmericanaFest the same year.
