Whitney Fenimore is a Nashville-based indie artist blending indie-folk, Americana, and singer-songwriter influences into music that’s raw, melodic, and emotionally resonant. A standout semi-finalist on The Voice (Season 13), she’s since earned praise from NPR, PEOPLE Magazine, and No Depression for her sharp, self-aware storytelling.
Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Whitney was raised in the Bible Belt and immersed in Christian music. As she grew, so did her perspective — leading to a creative rebirth marked by deep introspection, self-discovery, and bold songwriting.
She’s performed at SXSW, opened for GRAMMY-winner Lori McKenna, and signed a publishing deal with Ken Caillat (Fleetwood Mac). Her 2022 album Leaving Ashwood showcased her emotional depth, while recent singles like “Thin Line,” “New Normal,” and “Better Than Lonely” highlight her evolving sound.
Her latest release, “Wrong About Jesus,” is a cathartic anthem about identity, faith, and belonging — a bold statement from a queer artist reclaiming her narrative. Through it all, Whitney remains driven by honesty and connection. “Music is a lifeline for me,” she says. “It’s how I make sense of the world.” Whitney recently released a full length record called ‘State of Being’ this fall.
