Kari Kimmel, an independent artist, songwriter and producer originally from South Florida, has achieved remarkable success landing thousands of placements of her music in films, television shows, trailers, video games, and commercials. Her journey began with 2 major record deals – first with Atlantic Records and soon after with Virgin Records.  Kari went on to perform the title track “It’s Not Just Make Believe” for the film Ella Enchanted, and that was just the start.  Subsequent film placements included Blockers, World War Z, Southpaw, and The Duff, establishing significant milestones in her career.

 

Kari’s music has also been prominently featured in numerous popular TV shows, such as You, New Girl, Grey’s Anatomy, and America’s Funniest Home Videos. Additionally, her work has been featured in promos and trailers for Cobra Kai, Fortitude, Dirty John, and The Walking Dead.

 

Beyond the realm of entertainment, Kari’s music has graced numerous advertisements for brands like Google, Nissan, Rothys, and Jello, in addition to writing and producing songs in video games like The Sims. She has composed an impressive 30 theme songs, including “Where You Belong” for The Fosters, “Warriors” for She-Ra and has written the Theme Songs as well as served as Series Songwriter on shows Spirit Riding Free, Rhyme Time Town, and Eureka.

 

Kari’s vocal talents have also left their mark in movies such as Pitch Perfect 1 & 2, Dreamgirls, Danny Collins, Descendants 1, 2 & 3, Teen Beach Movie 1 & 2, Zombies 1, 2 & 3, and Footloose.

 

Beyond her involvement in the world of synchronization, Kari’s songs have been recorded by prominent artists including The Backstreet Boys, Kesha, Joe Jonas, Demi Lovato, and Gloria Gaynor. Additionally, she has provided background vocals for icons such as Ringo Starr, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Willie Nelson, Pharrell, and many others.

 

In 2014, Kari expanded her passion for music by establishing Glow Music Group, a full service synchronization agency and publishing administration company. After achieving substantial success licensing her own music, Kari decided to represent other independent bands and facilitate the licensing of their songs for use in films, television, ads, trailers, and more. Recent placements for Glow Bands include renowned brands like Gatorade, Coke, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and CVS as well as Films & TV Series such as Poker Face, Seal Team, Snowfall, The Morning Show, Reacher, Shrinking, The Long Game, Shadow Force, The Kill Room, and Spirited.

 

Kari is currently working a new Disney Series as Music Director and Series Songwriter, as well as two National ads airing in 2025, and her company Glow Music Group has had songs air in a myriad of shows and films.   Recent highlights include La Brea, Lisa Frankenstein, Love Is Blind, Resident Alien, Chucky, That 90’s Show, Criminal Minds, Cobra Kai, The Fabulous Four, NCIS, English Teacher, American Horror Stories, Hysteria, Rescue: Hi Surf, and Glow was thrilled to have a song included in the 2024 Oscar Winning Film American Fiction as well as the 2025 Oscar Nominated Film A Different Man. Glow Music Group was honored to be 2024’s recipient of the Independent Publisher of Year Award from the AIMP.  Kari’s mantra has always remained the same. Lucy Schwartz is an independent music artist who has become well-known for writing and performing original songs for film & TV.  When Lucy was just 18, a senior in high school, she wrote the opening and closing songs for the Meg Ryan film The Women. Since then, she has hand-tailored original songs for films & TV shows like: Twilight, Shrek, Nashville, What Maisie

Knew, Mother & Child, Post Grad, Greenleaf and Switched At Birth. One of the songs that she wrote for Nashville, “Black Roses”, reached No. 6 on the iTunes Country charts. Lucy also wrote the international theme song for the TV show Parenthood and co-wrote the theme songs for Almost Family and Rutherford Falls. Tracks from Lucy’s albums have been featured in many popular television shows like Girls, Love, Grey’s Anatomy and The Good Wife, to name a few. Lucy has played the Tonight Show and shared the stage with renowned artists like Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Sarah McLachlan, The Civil Wars, Moby & KT Tunstall. Some folks may also recognize Lucy from her youtube performance with Scary Pockets, where she sang a funk cover of Hanson’s “Mmmbop”. The cover has garnered millions of views and was even re-posted by Hanson themselves.

Lucy also loves to act, write, dance and make short films; each expression is another way to tell a story. She has had several on-screen roles: including a co-star on “House of Lies” in a scene with Don Cheadle, and an appearance on “Arrested Development” (Fun fact for Arrested Development fans: Lucy is also the voice of “Mr. F” and “For British Eyes Only”). Recently, Lucy started a web series called “Worst First Date”, which she directs, writes and acts in… every episode, there are different characters on a first date, but no matter what, it’s always the worst! She also made an animated short film called “The Monster” which she wrote, acted in, and co-directed with award-winning animator Patrick Smith. “The Monster” is now being used by therapists around the world to help children work through their fears.

 

 

 

 

 

Joel Ansett is an award-winning singer-songwriter known for his introspective lyrics and heartfelt live performances.
