$15B-Side is a monthly music showcase celebrating songwriters and artists from diverse backgrounds. Presented by Both Brain Records and hosted by Juju B. Goode, the series spotlights rising talent in a stripped-down, unplugged, storytelling-driven format with a “B-Side” spirit of intimacy, artistry, experimentation, and alternative depth.

Sun Burnette is a San Diego indie pop/rock band blending dreamy synth textures, lush piano melodies, and emotionally driven vocals. Formed by longtime collaborators Marj and Anette, the band grew from their college music collaborations into a fully realized project rooted in storytelling and atmospheric sound. Sun Burnette delivers dynamic live performances that balance intimate lyricism with expansive sonic layers. Inspired by artists like Japanese Breakfast, IV of Spades, Fleetwood Mac, and Mazzy Star, their music draws from indie pop, dream pop, and alternative influences while exploring themes of identity, queer experience, mental health, love, and community, inviting listeners into songs that feel both personal and deeply relatable. Sun Burnette has been steadily building a following within the San Diego music scene. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sunburnetteband/

Missing Wiba is the solo project/music alias of Marc Mangabat. Los Angeles based artist Marc writes about nostalgia, love, friends, and the subtle beauties of everyday life. Wiba’s music can often be soft and introspective but he’s also known for bringing his high energy and wit to the stage performing, indie rock, indie folk, and Jam often accompanied by his live backing band “The Burbank Philharmonic”. juhye is an indie pop artist making music and frolicking in the small town of Los Angeles. She describes her music as sonic vignettes of bittersweet coming-of-age experiences and yearning, and draws inspiration from personal reflections to write, record, and produce music from her own bedroom. Collaborating virtually with young musicians worldwide, juhye’s sound is an eclectic blend of various pop styles with hints of her upbringing on gospel rock and Korean Indie. Recently, she’s been into Hirono, vitamin C, and John Williams. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/juhye.m/

Nathan Xia is an alternative singer-songwriter, filmmaker and actor from San Diego, California. Blending his nostalgia for early 2000s rock with his fascination for American folk, Xia’s music is playful yet sentimental, reminiscing about childhood memories while exploring vulnerabilities of the present. From a debut project (now the bedroom-pop classic) Future Boy to his latest folk project Getaway, Juju blends bilingual lyrics and nostalgic feels into stories and songs that take you to disco nights, open roads, and maybe even somewhere within, fusing genres like city pop, classic Korean rock, Americana, and more. With a featured track on the Netflix show XO, Kitty and a DIY West Coast tour, Juju continues to build a community of cross-cultural audiences and diaspora all over the world.
