Asa Anderson is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and guitarist who writes from the in-between places: where faith meets doubt, where love breaks and heals, where control gets released. His sound moves between soul, pop, folk, and funk — intimate guitar work under a voice that carries warmth, reflection, and quiet strength.

A graduate of USC’s Thornton School of Music, Asa started out studying jazz bass before stepping into his own voice as a songwriter. His music has been featured on NBC, ABC, and the Hallmark Channel, with performances including the Sundance Film Festival.

In 2020, Asa stepped away from performing to earn a master’s degree in clinical psychology — work that’s shaped both his life and his songwriting. Four years sober, he writes honestly about the cycles of addiction, recovery, relationships, and the slow work of trusting yourself again. His goal is to keep building his music career while helping other artists and creatives navigate their own mental health.

Inspired by Sting, Sade, and John Mayer, Asa’s songs are for anyone in the messy middle — trying to choose heart over head, and learning that beauty and truth aren’t things we find, but things we remember.
