Amelia McLean

Amelia McLean is an LA-based pop artist whose forthcoming album, Frowned Upon Daughter, is a stream of consciousness reflection on an absurd upbringing. After years of isolation with her piano, journals, and imagination, she left Jackson, Michigan for Arizona. Over the next seven years, she spent every waking hour honing her craft—performing nightly in private clubs and luxury hotels, while reckoning with reality through songwriting and chasing her voice in the studio. With the desire to find her place in the industry, she moved to Nashville where she immediately began working as a songwriter. Session work led her to LA where she met Justin Glasco (Paris Paloma, The Lone Bellow, Rufus Wainwright), who she immediately began collaborating with. The following two years found her in a constant ricochet of travel, recording, and work with the sole focus of self-funding and completing her album.
