Raised on folk festivals, prayer services, poetry, and punk rock, Arielle Silver is a consummate storyteller whose rich, expressive voice and acoustic guitar frame expansive melodies that echo her travels across the American heartland.
Born on Florida’s Gulf Coast to a coupla kids younger than you, she grew up in woodsy spots along the mid-Atlantic, skinny-dipped through her 20s at Walden Pond, and now feeds the feral cats beneath her home in Los Angeles a traffic jam away from the Pacific Ocean.
Arielle’s fifth album, Watershed, featured on the Americana Music Charts for 18 weeks, has received national acclaim for its “sophisticated, reflective songs” (Twangville) that run with an ethic of care and ecological notice connecting ideas to experiences, and people to places.
A “masterful storyteller, blending the soul of Americana roots with influences drawn equally from Laurel Canyon and Greenwich Village,” Arielle’s songwriting and “enchanting” stage presence (Music Connection) has earned accolades from the Boston Globe (“lovely songwriting”) and bestselling author Cheryl Strayed (“Beautiful”) as well as second place in the International Acoustic Music Awards, Finalist at the Tucson Folk Festival and South Florida Acoustic Music Festival, among others. In between her tours across the country, Arielle teaches creative writing at Antioch University, leads holistic yoga workshops, and supports music makers at The SONA Foundation and as former Folk Alliance Region-West Board Member.
Emily Zuzik is an L.A. based singer-songwriter who has musical roots in a unique eclectic blend of alt-country, rock and electronic music. She released her lauded 2020 Americana album, Torch & Trouble, produced by Ted Russell Kamp, which gained praises among the Americana press including Ditty TV, Twangville, Americana Songwriter, Americana Highways and more. Her lead single off the album, Trouble, won 2020 Song of the Year from Welsh Online Radio Wigwam. Emily is currently recording a new collection of songs with Ted Russell Kamp and an-all star band. “Emily Zuzik’s voice ranges from a sweet and alluring croon to a low growl that would charm even the most world-weary.” (Time Out New York).
