Dutch singersongwriter Joanne Bird creates indie & americana folk with a touch of jazz. Drawing inspiration from artists like First Aid Kit, James Taylor and Brandi Carlile, she takes her audience through a personal and musical journey. In 2023, she traveled for five months through all the big music cities of the US to find inspiration, write and record. Along the way, she met established musicians from Nashville, New York, New Jersey and Boston, with whom she since then toured the Netherlands, and recorded her third EP ‘Unusual Fairytales’ with. The EP, which captures the most unusual and beautiful connections in life, is recorded in Asbury Park (New Jersey) and will be released in May 2025. Bird draws a lot of her inspiration from her travels to the US and this is evident in her music.
