Ana Kahan is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles, California, whose voice carries the weight of everything she has survived and the lightness of everything she still believes in.
Ana pursued her passion for vocal performance at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, where her studies were interrupted not once, but twice, by a cancer diagnosis that left her vocal cord paralyzed and her future in music uncertain. Rather than walk away, she fought — through treatment, through recovery, through silence — and came out the other side healthy, resilient, and more eager than ever to share her voice with the world.
That voice now tells stories of personal experience, reflection, and growth. Ana’s music lives in the messy, honest space of young adulthood — the mistakes made, the lessons learned, and the growing pains that come with figuring out who you are. Her forthcoming EP, don’t grow up, it’s a trap, captures that journey with honesty and nostalgia, touching on the bittersweet realities of transitioning into adulthood and everything that comes with it.
She recently released her debut single free, the first taste of the EP, set to arrive late summer. It is the sound of someone who fought for their voice in every sense of the word, and has no intention of staying quiet.
