Andrew Benjamin

Andrew Benjamin is an eclectic guitar player, singer-songwriter and Musicians Institute Graduate. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he has have been performing, recording & composing since the young age of 14. A large part of his musical career was spent as the lead guitarist, songwriter, and founder of rock band “Mad Temple.” From 2009-2015, the band toured playing festivals and theaters throughout the southwest US and Northern Mexico. Some notable performances include: South Texas RockFest, Texas RockFest, SXSW, Tijuana Taco Fest, Ensenada RockFest, Sunset Strip Music Festival and Make Music Pasadena Festival. The band was also featured in Music Connection Magazine’s “Top 100 Live Unsigned Artists & Bands,” had nationwide radio success, and had a monthly residency at the Hollywood House of Blues.

After many years of honing his skills both on stage and in the studio, Andrew Benjamin has evolved into becoming an in demand session guitarist and songwriter for many artists in the LA area as well as a top notch music educator with his own private music lesson studio, Blue Box Music. Andrew is honored to be part of the musical journey for his students and the artists he gets to work with; it has come full circle to him going back to his own artistic roots, and releasing his own material as a singer-songwriter. In 2021 he released his first solo EP entitled “Introducing” in 2021, and has been booking solo shows throughout Southern California, playing and singing his heart out. He is currently back in the studio recording his 2nd EP, much of which has been inspired by the birth of his newborn daughter. Future looks bright in 2024.
