Samantha Henson, Genovieve, Matt Moody & Emily Laliotis

April 3 7:00 pm PDT

Second Stage

Doors Open: 6:30

Samantha Henson’s collection of songs weaves together stories of heartache, heartbreak, and human existence, blending sounds inspired by The Beatles, Nick Drake, and Jim Croce.
Samantha recently released her debut album, “For Ghosts in Our Hearts,” in September 2023; it is available on all streaming services.

Cleveland, OH born and Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Matt Moody writes songs that meet somewhere between rust belt grit, western tropes and vulnerable melancholia. A prolific songwriter & performer, Moody’s journey thus far has landed him on notable stages such as The Hotel Cafe, Douglas Corner Cafe and Bonnaroo (the latter as a member of Wax Owls). Having been at it for well over a decade amongst the midwest & Tennessee, Moody has found himself collaborating with some big hitters in the biz; co-writing songs with Steve Cropper and Karen Staley.

Emily Laliotis is an award winning singer songwriter known for her timeless, feminine voice and clever, reflective lyrics. Her sound evokes Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Brandi Carlile, and Laura Marling. She’s influenced by the folk movement of the past, adding a modern twist to everything she sings. Originally from San Diego, Emily brings Americana music to Santa Monica and beyond.

Genovieve is a music project combining an eclectic range of styles around the indie folk genre with whimsical melodies throughout. Inspirations include Laura Marling, Feist, Mirah, Joni Mitchell and many more. Many of her songs are centered in storytelling, speaking on love, loss, and her journeys in between.
