Ballroom Boxer is an indie altpop band that combines the raw tones and swift melodies of their music rich hometowns: Akron, OH, Chicago and Nashville. The band formed in Chicago and cut their teeth opening for Bastille, Friday Pilots Club, Dinosaur Pileup, Big Pink, the Whigs and Kodaline. They’ve been featured at SXSW and Lollapalooza aftershows and toured across the country, including stops in NYC, Chicago, Nashville, Cleveland, Milwaukee as well as internationally in Cape Town, South Africa.
Tides, on blue vinyl, was produced by Gordon Raphael (the Strokes’) and Jon San Paulo (Foo Fighters, Liz Phair) at Electrical Audio, featured on Dave Grohl’s/Foo Fighters HBO special ‘Sonic Highways’.
Ballroom Boxer is finishing their new EP in Los Angeles with multi-platinum producer Kenny Carkeet (AWOLNATION, TENNIS). The lead singer songwriter, Mike Altier, is playing acoustic shows throughout LA of the new material. The release date is Summer 2024. Get it, merch & more at ballroomboxer.com
