Christopher Ellis and Friends

March 23 9:00 pm PDT

Second Stage

Doors Open: 8:30

$10

Christopher Ellis is a folk singer, guitarist, and songwriter born in Seattle and now located in Los Angeles. Originally a classical singer, Ellis turned to songwriting when he realized opera is a dying art. Although he left the opera house behind, Ellis retains a theatrical sensibility in his songwriting—turning the smallest, most personal moments into grandiose portraits of pain, melancholy, and ultimately hope.

Daisy Abrams is an LA native singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She never shies away from sharing her innermost thoughts and most vulnerable experiences. Daisy’s warm vocals and intricate piano melodies swell together in a way that seems both cozily familiar and refreshingly inventive.

Gracie Martin is a Silver Lake based singer-songwriter and producer creating in a self coined genre called Fantasy Folk Pop. Since releasing her 2017 EP, Unconscious, Gracie’s production has continued to spirit her listeners to sonic realms that weave together acoustic, orchestral, synthetic and found sounds. Having recently moved from Philly to Rochester to Los Angeles, Gracie has embraced this period of transformation and experimentation. This nomadic time in her life has paid off with her latest release “twenty one” as well as a larger collection of music slated for release throughout 2024.

Mara Woods is an LA-based singer-songwriter who writes moody folk rock about her silly little feelings. Trained as a writer and filmmaker, she views songwriting as both storytelling and catharsis, gravitating toward intensely personal lyrics that deal with themes of love, identity, depression, and grief. Contractually, she can’t be held liable if you cry at one of her shows.
