$10From Western Sydney via Nashville, singer-songwriter Imogen Clark brings her band the Hard Feelings to the Hotel Cafe Main Stage to launch ner new album ‘The Art of Getting Through’. Recorded between LA, Nashville, Sydney, Melbourne and London (in fact, at the iconic Abbey Road), the album is packed full of Imogen’s signature melodic, bittersweet, widescreen songwriting. From incendiary guitar driven anthems to heartbreakingly intimate ballads, the album is the fullest representation of herself as an artist and as a woman committed to record.
Reuniting with producer Mike Bloom, the album follows acclaimed EPs The Making of Me (4.5/5 stars, Rolling Stone) and Bastards (AIR Award nominated), and features contributions from members of Bright Eyes, Dawes, My Morning Jacket, Gang of Youths, Elvis Costello and the Imposters and the legendary Jim Keltner.
Imogen will play her first LA headline show fresh off a marathon touring season with The Tallest Man on Earth, Steve Poltz, BOWEN * YOUNG and Robyn Hitchcock.
