Blond in Car, the music made by Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Robin Schorr, has earned millions of worldwide streams, critical applause, and a fast-growing viral following on social media for her lush, synthed-out take on modern indie pop. Fresh off her first club tour opening for Ella Vos, and the release of her acclaimed debut album, ALTAVAN, Blond in Car has a unique sound, weaving irresistible melodies with pungent lyrics, lush arrangements, and pillowy vocal blends, all filtered through Schorr’s singular perspective and musical inspirations.Equal parts dreamy, hooky, funny and lacerating, Schorr writes about the “peculiar poison” of the semi-glamorous LA she uniquely knows. Coming to music after a successful career as a multiple Emmy-winning film exec and producer, she now is best known for her Omnichord videos on social media following the viral love for, “My High Gummygirl,” her signature song which has quickly become an indie favorite.
