India Carney

India Carney is a singer, songwriter, producer, actress and vocal coach. A native of Brooklyn, New York and graduate of LaGuardia Arts High (The “FAME”) School, India finished her music training at UCLA. Before graduating college, India made her television debut on NBC’s Emmy Award-winning series, The Voice – Season Eight. She wowed audiences with her passionate vocal performances, claiming Top 5 Artist from four highly acclaimed celebrity judges.

This New York City native is currently on tour with Olivia Rodrigo and previously toured with Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, and Mariah Carey. She has sung for Grammy-Award winning artists, including Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Meghan Trainor, and H.E.R. You’ve heard her at the VMAs, Grammy Awards, BET Awards, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Coachella and more. As a vocal coach, she worked with the singers of American Idol – Seasons 19-21, Alter Ego – Season 1 and I Can See Your Voice – Season 3. You can hear India’s voice on the American Express 2020 Holiday campaign, “Small Lang Syne,” featured in the popular video game, Forspoken, 2023 film “Trolls Band Together,” and Grey’s Anatomy.

India’s original music delicately showcases her varied influences: Pop, Folk, Classical, R&B, A Cappella, Jazz and musical theater (and life). In 2019, India signed to UK publishing company Phrased Differently and is a Recording Academy Voting member. Her previous releases include many collaborations with funk group, Scary Pockets. Her debut single, “Human,” is a personal account on equality, representation and empathy. Other discography includes Folk song “God Forbid,” Afro-Pop anthem, “Where Your Heart Is,” with many more in the pipeline. With a diverse array of upcoming projects, Carney is set to release her heartfelt ballad “Recovery”, a poignant exploration of grief and self-discovery.
