Singer/Songwriter Savannah Rivers blends alternative R&B with neo-soul jazz inflections. Her
music blooms from her personal journal entries.
She highly regards lyricists like Jill Scott, JP Saxe, and Julia Michaels, as well as her favorite
artists, Victoria Monet, Nick Hakim, and Lizzy McAlpine.
With a deep understanding of words’ impact, she’s sought to channel her deepest emotions
through them since age ten. She blends her singer/songwriter journal-like lyrics with ethereal
production techniques and R&B melodies. Her artistry blends vulnerability and strength. It’s not
just about her experiences surrounding the anxieties of growing up but also about the
hard-to-articulate emotions we share.
Savannah has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Troubadour, TD
Garden, Boston Symphony Hall, and Isabella Stuart Gardener Museum.
In her first single, ‘reciprocate,’ Savannah took inspiration from instances where she felt unseen.
The final product painted another picture of that emotion– leaving the interpretation up to the
listener.
She is currently working on an EP that will be released in the fall.
